Carol CPJ

Carol was born March 11, 1989 in Paramaribo, Suriname.

She started painting since she was three years old. At the age of sixteen she was discovered as a talent and that was for her “the” moment to take private lessons in drawing and painting by the Surinamese artist Cliff San A Jong. With Cliff San A Jong on her side, Carol has developed herself as a true artist. At the age of nineteen she graduated and started her career as a full time artist.

On her twentieth together with old fellow students (who also have developed their self as artists under the wings of Cliff San A Jong) she held her first exhibition. During this exhibition the public not only got the opportunity to get acquainted with her work, but they got the chance to personally meet new talent.

Technique and Style :

• Realism/Fine Arts with a preference for portraits with a classical tinge.
• Acrylic is her preference

Her inspiration comes from her own feelings and art from historical masters like:

• Rembrandt
• Frederic Lord Leighton
• Bougereau

She wants her passion for art to reflect in her paintings, in order for people feel, experience and understand this passion every time she exhibits them in her art.
